History

    1952 - The first Youth Group meeting takes place with Evangelical Deaconess Johanna Wiese from Marburg, Germany.

    1953 - The Christian Endeavour Youth Group (Jugendbund für Entschiedenes Christentum) has regular meetings and grows.

    1957 - Pastor Heinz Plaum begins as Pastor. (Served 1957 - 1959.)

    1960 - The church building at 95 Margaret Avenue in Kitchener is bought for $15,000.

    1960 - Pastor Hermann Meyer begins as Pastor. (Served 1960 - 1970.)

    1970 - The members of the Christian Endeavour Youth Group (E.C.) vote to become an independent congregation affiliated with the Fellowship Deaconry in New Jersey.

    1971 - Pastor Achim Kemmesies begins as Pastor. (Served 1971 - 1974.)

    1973 - Camp Thunder Beach is purchased.

    1975 - Pastor Manfred Kürschner begins as Pastor. (Served 1975 - 1980.)

    1981 - Pastor Ralph Färber begins as Pastor. (Served 1981 - 1985.)

    1984 - Christian Endeavour changes its name to Christian Fellowship Church of Kitchener-Waterloo.

    1986 - Pastor Heinz Plaum returns as Pastor. (Served 1986 - 1994.)

    1990 - The new church building at 315 Northlake Drive in Waterloo is completed.

    1991 - The second cottage at Camp Thunder Beach is completed.

    1995 - Pastor Stefan König begins as Pastor. (Served 1995 - 2004.)

    2000 - The church addition at 315 Northlake Drive in Waterloo is completed.

    2003 - 50th Anniversary of Christian Fellowship Church.

    2005 - Pastor Kurt Fischer begins as Pastor. (Served 2005 - 2012.)

    2010 - Pastor Mike Rattee begins as lead Pastor. (Served 2010 - 2017.)

    2013 - 60th Anniversary of Christian Fellowship Church.

    2019 - Pastor Dieter Reda begins as Pastor. (Served 2019 - 2021.)

    2022 - Pastor Paul Knauer begins as Pastor. (Served 2022 - )

    2023 - 70th Anniversary of Christian Fellowship Church.
